theoretic is a Jersey-raised, Brooklyn-based DJ, producer, educator, & event curator entrenched in the beating heart of Brooklyn's underground music scene. Their sonic craft spans a fusion of House, Techno, Disco, NY Garage, Soul, & Black club music; without limits, across borders. Whether spinning via digital waveforms, or from their vast record collection, their style is a symphonic medley that compels even the most restrained feet to move.
theoretic currently holds residencies at the beloved venue ANIMAL, & is one-third of QVC (Queer Vinyl Collective), a monthly DIY party & cultural preservation series that seeks to honor the queer, Black and Brown roots of dance music & nightlife. They created the long-standing party series "House Anatomy" at Jupiter Disco for their former residency, & is now the creator & curator of an online DJ interview series "SCRIMMAGE." They've played for crowds at acclaimed clubs & venues such as Elsewhere, Eavesdrop, Le Bain, Good Room, Outer Heaven, Mood Ring, Nowadays, Earthly Delights, Cafe Erzulie, Soho House, H0L0 & beyond.
theoretic has also spread their talents internationally; they've contributed all-vinyl sets for the beloved London-based series My Analog Journal and Cafe 1001. They've played for the Hamburg annual festival Kampnagel, graced stages in Toronto, and shared decks with legends such as A Guy Called Gerald, to Stacey "Hotwaxx" Hale, along with contemporary acts like LSDXOXO, Blazey, & more.
In addition, theoretic's original music & edits have been featured on acclaimed compilations, namely, "IYKYK" via the Brooklyn label Air Texture, that DJ Mag ranked as one of their “best compilations of 2024” and their song described as "the best tracks are the ones that feel like they are twisting genres inside out. On theoretic’s ‘Lucky LaWanda’, they take the icy melody of 8-bit grime and lay it over funky, swung house drum programming." They've also released on Madrid-based label, Others to the Front, for its first compilation, & in March of 2025, theoretic released their first EP, Eponymous EP.
